About us

Re-Entry Corps Voices and Faces is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization started in 2011 (501 c 3 status 2015) by former students of an employment training course designed for adults transitioning from prisons and jails. The former students wanted to pay forward for the assistance they received from Washington state community organizations and agencies. They realized the value of contributing to others is integral to personal well-being; part of the healing process that promotes personal/spiritual fulfillment, a more productive involved citizen, a more present parent and family member. We believe self-development, peer and community engagement can increase quality of life for those in reentry/transition and their families. These are a few of the keys that can unlock the potential to making an impact stopping the cycle of recidivism and poverty.

Our mission is to assist adults transitioning from prisons and jails by reducing recidivism and alleviating poverty through increasing quality of life for themselves by strengthening family, peer and community support networks.

We believe in leading by example, embodying excellence, sustaining sound fundamentals of living a fulfilling life, and inspiring selfless contribution.

We believe in continually engaging by promoting safer, stronger communities, healthier families, self-efficacy and self-sufficiency.

We are currently expanding to include a self-development program using proven evidence based results and offering scholarships to adult student pursuing a technical or vocational certificate/degree at a community college. We want to begin the reentry and transition process before being release into the community. With “in-reach”- case management within prisons and followed by post-release case management with life skills structured curriculum and student life positive activities support.

Thank you all throughout the years for your continued support and encouragement.
